Zverev is finally fully back after he twisted his ankle last year at the Roland Garros.

The German is currently 27th in the rankings and was at no. 2 prior the injury. Zverev is 18-14 for the season and 10-5 on clay.

He had dominant performances in both previous matches. In the opening round, Zverev defeated Lloyd Harris 7-6, 7-6, 6-1 and in the second one he was better than Alex Molcan 6-4, 6-2, 6-1. Zverev’s best result this season was the semifinal in Dubai where he lost to Andrey Rublev in straight sets.

Tiafoe is ranked at no. 12 at the moment, one spot lower than his career high.

The American is 23-9 for the season and 8-3 on clay. This is the first time in his career to reach the third round of the French Open.

In the previous two rounds, Tiafoe defeated Filip Krajinovic 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 and in the last match, he outlasted Aslan Karatsev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2. Tiafoe is having a pretty good season on clay as he already won the tournament in Houston.
