He defeated Jordan Thompson in the opening round by 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 and 7-5. Next in line was Diego Schwartzman who had no chance against Wolf who won 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.

Michael Mmoh is 107. in the ATP rankings and the highest he has been is at no. 96. 

The 25-year-old American is 5-2 for the season and went through the qualifiers to reach the main draw. In the first round, Mmoh defeated Laurent Lokoli after being down 2-0. In the second round, he made an upset defeating Alexander Zverev 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 and 6-2.

Mmoh plays in Melbourne since 2017 and twice before he has made it to the second round.
