The first of the AFL Preliminary Finals sees Geelong Cats host Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Friday night under lights. Who will secure a Grand Final spot?
Geelong have had a week off after a tough win over Collingwood in their Qualifying Final, while Brisbane have proven real underdogs with wins over both Richmond Tigers and Melbourne Demons. With that momentum, the Lions are backed to cover.
Geelong has won four of their last five clashes over the Lions, although the last two of those victories came by 10 points or less.
They last met in April of this year at Kardinia Park, where Geelong held off the Lions by 10 points.
Geelong Cats Form
Having not been beaten since Round 9, the Cats are clearly the side all team's will have to beat this year to be crowned premiers.
They have had a week off after the last win in the Qualifying Final when they beat Collingwood 78-72 two weeks ago and have played just once since August 21.
They deserve to be the favourites coming into this match as minor premiers, but will the lack of gamet time in the last month count against them?

What came with last week's win was overcoming a 28-point deficit at the MCG to end an 11-match hoodoo.
