Lazio come off a superb 3-1 win in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and that is bound to have raised their spirits after some dodgy performances in Serie A, but Simon Inzaghi will be demanding that his players get the three points here given that they have failed to do so in any of their last three league encounters. They couldn’t be given a much kinder fixture though, as Bologna simply can’t buy a result on the road having lost their last five away games (including the end of last season) and scored just once in the process. For extra value, consider backing the hosts to win to nil.
Lazio have a couple of heavy players away and they have actually had that during large parts of the season opener. Andreas Pereira has not been able to show what he can do for his new home crowd yet, and it's not just because the stands echo empty in Italy.
Senad Lulic has also not been able to play any matches yet. As if that were not enough, Gonzalo Escalante and Manuel Lazzari have been added to their injury list. Mitchell Dijks, Gary Medel, Andreas Skov Olsen, Andrea Poli and Lorenzo De Silvestri are all on the injury list in Bologna which continues to be a big problem for the team and which forced a couple of changes not least.
Lazio disappoints in the league as of now, but made an excellent start in the Champions league, easily beating Borussia Dortmund 3-1. Having some critical returns to the defense but also that of Immobile, who opened the scoring (6'), Lazio was in control, scoring a second goal with Luiz Felipe (23'). He accepted the reduction (71'), in 76' he closed the score with Akpa. Radu, Lazzari, Escalade, Pereira and Lulic will not be married. Bologna, as long as they have this defense, are not going anywhere, they 'betrayed' again in an incredible game with Sassuolo where they lost 3-4. Expect for Skov Olsen, Medelli, Polly and Dicks. Lazio got psychological with the victory over Borussia Dortmund. Bologna's defensive inadequacy, however, makes Over 1,5 goals attractive for Lazio.
