I don't see how Liverpool are favourites for a game where they are so clearly out of form, being destroyed by teams recently, including Fulham.
what to say about today's Liverpool? From unbeatable Premier League champions last season to punching bag? Liverpool risk missing the CL game next season and I see no sign that things will get better
Everybody knows about bad Liverpool's form at Anfield. The Reds won last time 2:0, so pressure to win is on RB Leipzig. They are able to make a good result for themselves, they are in good shape at the moment.
Leipzig comes closest from an away win in the Bundesliga. Red Bull crushed Freiburg away with 3-0 and now they are up to four straight wins! Leipzig have also scored 11 goals in their last four league games, compared to Liverpool's 2 goals in their last four games. How Liverpool won the first meeting with the 2-0 result is a good question. Much was about the Germans' own mistakes in the defensive game that led to Liverpool being able to puncture the match. But now it is a completely different situation than it was two weeks ago.
It feels like anyone can come to Anfield Road and win. That Leipzig wins the return match is entirely possible! I guess the Germans will win the return and maybe even advance to the quarterfinals. If Liverpool come to life, then I'll take the words back. Leipzig DNB make sence here.
