Prediction: Villarreal - Atlético Madrid, La Liga

Villarreal is not an easy opponent and Atletico will have to develop their A-game to win, and it is a very good situation to do so given what I mentioned above, Real & Barca who are catching up slowly but surely. Especially the Madrid club.

Villarreal advanced to the Europa League via 4-1 against RB Salzburg. If anyone knows how to succeed in this tournament, it's Unai Emery who is in charge of Villareal. In order for there to be games in Europe next season as well, however, improvement in the league game is required. Five crosses and a loss in the last six are of course not good enough and now Real Betis, among others, are approaching from below.

For Atlético, it was the Champions League that mattered and the "home match" (the fight was played in Bucharest) against Chelsea. There, the Spanish capital team had a strangely difficult time getting to dangerous goal chances and finally had to give up 0-1.

This means that the guests have only won one of their last five competitive matches. In La Liga, Simeone's men have faced Levante twice and only managed one point in those matches. In terms of play, however, it has not looked so bad, with a normal dividend, Atlético would have won both matches. Giménez and Carrasco are missing due to injuries, but Héctor Herrera is considered to have enough antibodies after recovering from corona infection to play again.

It is an important match for both teams that would need to replenish their confidence store. Atlético are also chased at the top of La Liga, where both Real Madrid and Barcelona are crawling closer. I therefore think we will see a connected away team that is then basically better than what Villarreal is.

Two teams that are in need of victories and then I think it will be decided on pure quality. I will go for Atl. Madrid here in a draw no bet (Asian 0)
