Last week, FC Porto narrowly missed out on a draw against Olympique Lyon. A last-minute goal by the Portuguese was disallowed after a VAR decision – much to the displeasure of FCP coach Conceicao.
Offensive FCP has warmed up
The result in the round of 16 first leg against Olympique Lyon was all the more surprising. At least the Portuguese offensive stumbled over long stretches. For the first time since April 2021, FCP have not scored a goal in an international competitive game in their own stadium.
