MLB: Los Angeles Angels - Arizona Diamondbacks

Diamondbacks starter Alex Young has been lucky not to allow more runs in his recent starts–his 1.40 WHIP and seven walks in 15.2 innings in the month of September are not positive indications. He did win his last time out, but he struck out just one and Mike Trout, Anthony Rendon, and the rest of the big bats in the Angels’ lineup like to punish pitchers who aren’t able to strike them out

Seven of the Angels’ last 11 games have had double digits in runs scored, while five of Arizona’s last seven games have totaled 10 or more. Both starting pitchers have an ERA well above 4.00 this season, while Young’s road ERA is above 5.00. Mike Trout is hitting almost as well as ever, hitting 16 home runs in 49 games, while the Angels, as a team, have hit 69 home runs. This will be another high-scoring game on Thursday, so i take the over here.
