The most interesting clash in NFL Week 4 will take plays in Denver where the Broncos will host the Baltimore Ravens.
Denver is one of five unbeaten teams after the first three weeks of the season but many are doubting their legitimacy since all of their wins were against the three worse teams in the league (Giants, Jaguars and Jets) that still haven’t recorded any win.
On the other side, Baltimore has a 2-1 record. They lost in overtime against the unbeaten Las Vegas Raiders, won against the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs when a fourth-down gamble paid off and edged the Detroit Lions last week when the longest field goal in NFL history of 66 yards bounced over the crossbar as time expired.
There is no doubt that this will be a duel of two excellent defensive teams.
The Broncos defense is the first in the league in points allowed, second against the run and third against the pass but they haven’t been tested against a team like the Ravens this season.
Baltimore’s quarterback Lamar Jackson is having an amazing start of the season averaging the league’s best 12.3 yards per attempt.
Denver on the other hand has the defensive player of the month in Von Miller.
Key facts
- The Broncos haven’t started 4-0 since 1999
- The Broncos face Baltimore quarterback, the 2019 NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson for the first time
- The Broncos will be without both Graham Glasgow and Dalton Risner against the Ravens
- The Ravens have only two losses in their last 13 games including the preseason
- Both teams have split their last 10 head-to-head games
This game will definitely be a close low-scoring one. Still, Denver’s injuries on offense will probably be decisive. The Ravens will have the most dynamic player on the field in Lamar Jackson who will be the difference-maker. The Broncos will face reality against a strong team as the Ravens and will record their first loss this season.
