In a matchup of the top two teams in the league, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Phoenix Suns.

This will be the second game in a week between these two after the Suns won 104-96 on Tuesday night.

Suns’ center Deandre Ayton scored 24 points, Chris Paul added 15 points and 11 assists in a game that put the Suns on top of the Western Conference standings.

The Suns won despite losing star guard Devin Booker to a left hamstring injury in the second quarter. He had 10 points and two rebounds in 15 minutes. Cam Johnson and Cameron Payne both scored 19 points to lead the Suns on a historic night. Deandre Ayton had 17 points and 12 rebounds as Phoenix improved to 19-3 for the season.

Phoenix won despite not having leading scorer Devin Booker for the first time this season.

Devin Booker will not suit up against the Warriors as well as Dario Saric, Frank Kaminsky and Abdel Nader. The Warriors will be without Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and James Wiseman.

It seems like the time has come for the Suns to finally lose their first game after October 28th. Booker’s absence will be much felt in Suns’ offense who will struggle to find scoring options against the Warriors’ defense.

Steph Curry had one of the worst games of his career on Tuesday against the Suns which means he will have an extra motive to lead his team to a victory. Curry is the second-best scorer in the league with just 0.1 points per game behind Kevin Durant and less than 50 three-pointers away from becoming the player with the most made threes in NBA history.
