The Senators have played only four games in 2022 with the last one being a 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Drake Batherson had the lone goal for Ottawa, and Anton Forsberg stopped 30 shots.

This was Ottawa's first home game since December 11 and was played without fans because of Covid-19 regulations.

The Senators are 6-9-1 in conference games. Ottawa is last in the NHL shooting 29.1 shots per game.
