Details:
The Buffalo Bills head to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.
Both teams are coming off a win in Week 5, but the Bills’ victory was much more impressive as they won in Kansas City against the Chiefs 38-20 and now, alongside the Chargers, are now the front-runners to win the AFC.
The Bills' defense showed that their incredible start to this season was not just a product of their opponents, holding KC to just two touchdowns while forcing four turnovers.
Buffalo sits atop the AFC East having won four straight. The Bills have both the NFL's highest-scoring offense and stingiest defense.
Josh Allen is leading the Bills having an amazing season so far. He is currently in the top 10 in passing yards (1,370), touchdown throws (12), yards per attempt (12.2), and he’s only been sacked five times and thrown two interceptions. He proclaimed his case for early-season MVP with his brilliant performance last week against the Chiefs, throwing for 315 yards, three scores, and a 139.1 rating. He also led his team with 59 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The Titans are coming off a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars who are at the bottom of the standing without a win. Their injury list is a mile long but is worth mentioning that some of the injured players will be available for Monday.
This week wide receiver Julio Jones, safety Amani Hooker and outside linebacker Bud Dupree were practicing, giving hope that they’ll be ready to play on Monday night.
Key facts
- These two teams have met 45 times in their respective histories, with Tennessee holding a 28-17 advantage.
- Buffalo has won three of the last four games against Tennessee
- In their four-game winning streak, the Bills are defeating their opponents by an average margin of 28.75 points.
The Bills are clear favorites and anything by a routine win would be a surprise. The Bills are arguably the most complete, well-rounded team in the entire league. It’s incredible to see just how good the Bills have been on both sides of the ball. Especially after dismantling the Chiefs in Week 5, it’s easy to see why they’re considered the best team in the NFL.
Buffalo ranks in the top 10 in total yards (8th), passing yards (9th), rushing yards (5th) and points per game (1st). On defense, the Bills rank in the top five against the pass (2nd), run (3rd), and in total yards (1st) and points allowed (1st).
A 5.5 spread against the Titans would be a walk in the park for the Bills.
