Qatar vs. Senegal Tip
- Title : Qatar vs. Senegal Tip
Summary:
Both Qatar and Senegal lost in the opening match day of the World Cup and whoever losses this game will definitely finish their appearance in the group stage. Qatar will have the crowd behind them, but will that be enough to go past Senegal?

Details:
The host nation of Qatar had huge expectations from their team in the World Cup opener against Ecuador but they failed to meet the expectation with a 2-0 loss. Qatar came into the competition with four straight wins but that was very quickly forgotten when the game started. Qatar was not even close to scoring against Ecuador and the feeling is that the South American team played just enough to win.
Qatar had no control of the game at any point and it is pretty clear that the only reason why they participate in the competition is because they are the hosting country. Qatar had almost equal ball possession as Ecuador but didn’t create any chances and had no shots on target.
Senegal came into the World Cup with high hopes after they won the African Cup of Nations last season. Unfortunately, their best player Sadio Mane had to be left out of the roster as he didn’t manage to recover from the injury that kept him away from his team Bayern Munich for most of the season.
Senegal played pretty good during most of the game against the Netherlands but conceded two goals in the last 10 minutes for a 2-0 loss. Senegal had 14 shots on goal and 3 on target but failed to convert which cost them in the end.
Key facts
We were all impatiently waiting for the 2022 World Cup and that was especially the case with the home nation Qatar. This is their first-ever World Cup appearance and based on what we saw in the game against Ecuador, Qatar has really slim chance to advance from Group A. It was obvious that they are far below the level for such a competition and if they manage to at least score a goal at the tournament, it will be a small miracle. Unlike them, Senegal showed that they are for reason the reigning African champions. Even without their best player Sadio Mane, Senegal was a tough opponent in the game against the Netherlands and they almost made it undefeated to the end. Senegal is by far a better team than Qatar and just like Ecuador, they will take over the game from the very first minute since they need to score a lot in order to make up the goal difference. It may take some time until Senegal score the first goal but will definitely do it and win the game at the end, keeping their chances to advance to the knockout stage. Having all this in mind, I suggest placing a bet on -0.75 Asian handicap on Senegal.
