Prediction: Marseille- Manchester City, Champions Leauge
- Title : Prediction: Marseille- Manchester City, Champions Leauge
Summary:
Marseille is back in the CL for the first time since the 2013-2014 season. They have a capable squad where Payet is rested after suspension, Thauvin is in the goal line, PSG has been defeated at the start of the season away with 1-0 and the team is four in the table with 15 sticks recorded in 8 matches. But the return in CL hardly started well when they went on cod with 1-0 away against Olympiakos. Marseille almost have to score points here to feel that they are in the future for the first two places in the group - but that progress can probably be punished when the opposition is tough here. City are rightly big favorites for the victory - but will Marseille still be able to make a match of this and give City a proper match?

I think City picks this up as they are a few classes sharper than Marseille. But can definitely see a goalless win here with let say 2-0. I try Cityvinst & u 4.5 goals
The first ever meeting between classic Marseille and Man City when the teams meet in the second round of this year's Champions League. This is also a match between two coaches who have a similar football philosophy.
Man city does not impress so far this season. They beat Porto with some problems in the first round where I think they got an extremely cheap penalty to 1-1. In the league, they have only scraped together 8 points in 5 matches. I'm a big fan of the team's coach Guardiola but I think he recruited the team. They have put too much money on too low quality and it feels like they are getting worse for each season instead of getting better as expected. City are still good enough to beat Marseille away. Especially on an empty Stadé Velodromé which normally offers good public support for the home team. But I do not think we will see a classic City win where you run over your opponent with 3-4 goals. I believe in a smoother match.
City will most likely get De Bruyne in the starting eleven here, which is extremely important of course. In addition, perhaps Laporte is ready to start in the central defense - almost as important. I think City will be really strengthened by these men and that we will see a City that tightens up after the embarrassing effort against West Ham this weekend. But City's big worries are, of course, that both Jesus and Agüero will be missing and that Sterling will have to take on the false-nine role again. And without target players up there, City's offensive does not feel so incredible good.
My prediction: City win and under 4,5 goals
