The decision does not inspire much confidence, and it makes it difficult to imagine Evil Geniuses will accomplish much by the end of the year. EG Black, however, are not much worse than EG's former core, so at the very least they should be just as strong as they were before the summer break.

In this match, Team Vitality will be favored as the favourite against Evil Geniuses, who haven't accomplished much this season. They're the reigning CS:GO Major champions and have the second-highest rating in the world. Due to roster changes and the ring rust teams must shake off, post-summer break games are usually extremely unpredictable, so it's often better to back the outsiders, especially when the odds look good here.
