Do the Leafs still have a grip on the Oilers?

They have already drawn the short straw six times against the leaders of the North Division. The ninth and last duel of this regular season will take place on Monday.

On Saturday, McDavid, Draisaitl and Co. did not even have a 3-1 lead well into the third third to finally win again against Toronto. So they conceded the 2: 3 just eight minutes before the end and then finally, five minutes later, the 3: 3.

In overtime, the Leafs then needed a full 54 seconds to put the lid on and claim another victory. This was still deserved, as they were clearly superior to Edmonton with 31:20 even after shots.

For the self-confidence of the Oilers, especially with regard to the playoffs, it would of course be good to win again against the Leafs, but in this match up the greater toughness speaks clearly for Toronto. So at Maple Leafs vs. Oilers, our forecast for Monday is another victory for the home team.
