Predictions & Tips for Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou

Francis Ngannou is expected to be knocked out by Tyson Fury. Although Ngannou was a big-hitter, Deontay Wilder repeatedly dismantled him. It is expected that the WBC champion's superior boxing skills and experience will overwhelm Ngannou.

  • The unbeaten record of Tyson Fury is 33-0-1
  • Tyson Fury has won 5 of his last 6 fights by KO/TKO
  • Three of Fury's last four KO victories have come after round six
  • Boxing debut for Francis Ngannou

Form of Tyson Fury

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has a record of 33-0-1 (24 knockouts).

In November 2015, Fury became the first world heavyweight champion by beating Wladimir Klitschko unanimously.

In the aftermath of that victory over Klitschko, he failed to defend the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and Ring titles.

'The Gypsy King' ended his exile in 2018, beating Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta to meet then-WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

In spite of dominating the fight prior to a late knockdown, Fury lost the fight by a split decision.

Rather than fighting Otto Wallin immediately, he first knocked out Tom Schwarz in two rounds.

In the second meeting with Wilder, Fury schooled him before knocking him out in the seventh round.

The British heavyweight then won the trilogy fight via 11th round stoppage, before fighting domestic rivals last year.

In the sixth round, Fury beat Dillian Whyte at Wembley, and in the 10th round, he stopped Derek Chisora at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Form of Francis Ngannou

A former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou has a professional MMA record of 17-3 (12 KOs, 4 submissions).

Ngannou quickly climbed the heavyweight ladder after debuting in the UFC in December 2015.

In January 2017, he knocked out former champion Andrei Arlovski in just 92 seconds, and later that year, he knocked out MMA legend Alistair Overeem in just 102 seconds.

This earned 'The Predator' a shot at the UFC title, but he was outclassed by Stipe Miocic on the night.

Following that loss, Ngannou suffered an uninspiring decision loss to Derrick Lewis.

As he surged to the top of the heavyweight division with a string of stoppage victories, the 36-year-old faced heavy criticism for that performance.

To get back on track, he knocked out Curtis Blaydes in 45 seconds, and then finished former champion Cain Velasquez in 26 seconds.

After stopping ex-champion Junior Dos Santos in 1:11, Ngannou took out Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds.

This earned him a rematch with Miocic in March 2021, and this time the Cameroonian knocked out the champion.

Before leaving the UFC when his contract expired, he successfully defended his heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision.

Conclusion

Francis Ngannou does not have a puncher's chance, as some will say.

As a professional boxer, he is nowhere near Tyson Fury's level, so we can expect scenes similar to Fury's last two fights.
