Clippers Looking To Build Chemistry

Since entering the Disney World bubble, the Clippers have pretty much experienced similar woes as the regular season. They came in being feared as serious championship contenders, but due to a slew of injuries and personal issues, they have failed to develop any chemistry at all. This time around, Patrick Beverly, Lou Williams, and Montrezi Harrell have all exited the Orlando bubble to deal with personal matters.

This was all done with their team’s and the organization’s blessing. However, we can expect them to return to Orlando and join their team later in the season.During their first scrimmage in Disney World against the Orlando Magic though, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George looked very dominant when they played together. Joakim Noah, who is very happy with the Los Angeles Clippers, also exploded with an amazing in his debut. They definitely have a significant number of great individual athletes, but they have not been able to play together enough. The big problem is losing three key players during the start of the season in Orlando would make it very difficult for the Clippers to develop chemistry. Clipper’s head coach, Doc Rivers, is confident that they will be able to work things out though. After a team practice on Friday, he said, “I don’t think it hurts our team. Today we have a practice; a lot of our guys aren’t here.

That’s never healthy for your team, especially a team that really hasn’t been together. We’re a new team. We had Kawhi and PG miss training camp. PG missed the first, what, 16 games. Then Kawhi missed games. Lou. This year so far we really have not caught a great break as far as being able to work together.“I got to say this team so far; they keep impressing me.

As well with their ability to figure out a way of playing together even though we don’t have a lot of minutes on the floor playing together.”Doc Rivers and his Clippers would be a force to be reckoned with if they can get enough chemistry before the playoffs. Before the coronavirus pandemic put a halt to the world, the Clippers were playing at its best with a complete lineup.

After the All-Star break, the LA Clippers won seven in nine games. At that time, they looked like a championship team.Superstars, George and Leonard, are the championship cores of the Clippers. With George finally back in full form, the Clippers will have two of the top ten players in the league. With Leonard, the Clippers have a tried and tested champion with a Finals Most Valuable Player award. Currently, he looks just as reasonable and competitive as he did before the coronavirus break.

With George, Rivers looks to utilize the healthy superstar with the pick-and-roll fully. Rivers said, “Because he’s a great shooter. Paul George does a lot. Great post-game. With Paul’s size, we just put him in a lot more pick ‘n rolls than he’s ever been in his career. With his size, it’s so effective that we’re doing it more, work on it every day, and he’s gotten better and better at it.”Aside from their two stars, they will have a deep and strong lineup to help them win their campaign.
